HOW TO: drain the fuel in your lawnmaster generator
In this step-by-step video, we’ll guide you through how to drain the fuel out of your LawnMaster Generator!
Step by step guide:
- To ensure your LawnMaster generator will start first time, always ensure your fuel is not older than 2 months.
- Petrol has a limited shelf life and old fuel can cause the fuel jets on a carburettor to block up.
- Petrol can also be effected if left in a hot garage, or in the sun.
- If your generator has a fuel shut off system as instructed on the front cover, before storage please ensure you use this use this function.
- This valve turns the fuel off, so it does not enter into the carburettor.
- Ensure you keep the engine running, turn the knob to fuel off and within a minute the engine will use the fuel up and stall.
- There will be fuel left in the tank that will require a fuel stabilizer, or you will need to siphon the fuel out with a hand suction pump.
