In this step-by-step video, we’ll guide you through the process of cleaning your steel or alloy mower deck. Whether you don’t know how to clean your mower correctly or just looking for a quick refresher, our easy-to-follow instructions and helpful tips will have you cleaning your mower like a pro in no time!
Alloy Mower step by step guide:
- Start by leaving the catcher on– attach hose to wash port and then start the mower to clen the deck.
Note: Good sell point for purchasing an alloy mower is oil only needs changed every 50 hours which is approx. 2 years, so there is less servicing with alloy mowers if you use the wash port to keep the deck free of grass.
Advantage of an alloy mower is the wash port to clean the deck The best time to do this is after cutting wet grass.
Steel Mower step by step guide:
- A steel rotary mower needs to be tipped backwards and a scrapping tool used to clean grass from deck.
- If this is not done regularly the grass will not be thrown to the back of the catcher (ie you will only get catchers half full of grass that customer then blames mower for!)
