HOW TO: change the oil in your lawnmaster rotary mower
In this step-by-step video, we’ll guide you through the process of changing the oil in your LawnMaster rotary mower. Whether you’re new to changing oil or just looking for a quick refresher, our easy-to-follow instructions and helpful tips will have you changing the oil like a pro in no time!
Step by step guide:
- Under the fuel cap is a breather hole, you will therefore need to find a plastic bag you can place over the fuel hole and then place the fuel cap back on and tighten.
- This ensures no petrol will leak out onto the lawn and kill the grass.
- Remove the dipstick and put a shallow plastic container to capture the oil. An ice-cream container will work perfect for this.
- Using the handle bars, tip the mower over sideways with the dipstick on the lower side.
- Ensure you leave it on its side for approximately a minute to ensure as much oil as possible can drain out.
- We recommend you use LawnMaster oil. You can purchase 600ml bottles of LawnMaster oil from hardware stores or your nearest service dealer.
- The grade you use for all the current engines is 10w30.
- You need to fill the engine with approximately 450ml of oil for all domestic engines.
- Ensure the oil has settled in the sump, then wipe the dip stick and put it into the filler without screwing the dip stick in.
- Oil should be at the level of the top hole on the dipstick.
- Changing your oil regularly is one of the best things you can do to get longevity from your LawnMaster mower.
